Poly Ibadan organises conference on security, technology, economic development

AS part of its resolve to contribute meaningfully to development of technology, socio-economic development as well as efforts targeted at proferring solutions to security challenges in Africa and Nigeria as a whole, the Faculty of Business and Communications, The Polytechnic Ibadan, is organising an international conference where major stakeholders are expected to converge and deliberate on way forward.

The conference themed: Technology, Security and Socio-Economic Development in Africa, would be chaired by former Vice-Chancellor, Igbinedion Igbinedion University, Okada, Professor Eghosa Osaghae, now of the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan.

The lead paper at the conference is expected to be presented by the Director of Research Entity: Indigenous Living Media in Africa, Faculty of Humanities, North-West University, South Africa, Professor Abiodun Salawu, while the Rector, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi and Dean, Faculty and Communication studies of the school, Mr Femi Ipadeola would be the Chief host and host respectively
