The ward congresses committee in the state had to engage the party stalwarts in series of meetings in order to be able to resolve the issues raised by each faction of the development that took time to be settled thereby delaying the conduct of the Congress.
While speaking to Journalists at the party secretariat, the Congress Committee Chairman, Suleiman Abdurrahaman Kawu Sumaila, assured that the exercise will be free and fair despite the initial hitches pointing out that his committee will be diligent while discharging its duty.
He, therefore, called for cooperation of the entire members of the party in ensuring a successful Congress explaining that the exercise was not a do or die affairs but an in-house thing aimed at fostering unity amongst all the members of the party.
Also speaking to newsmen, Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Suleiman Zarma said that he was optimistic that the ward congresses will be transparent based on the assurance of the committee.
He, therefore, adviced that all the voters and the candidates should show a sense of maturity as the party was known during the conduct of the election.

In the same vein, a chieftain of the party Abubakar Habu Muazu said that the party was united therefore the conduct of ward congresses will be free and fair in order to further enhance the unity of the party more in the state.
Habu Muazu is a gubernatorial aspirant of the party, therefore, called on those assigned from the national headquarters to conduct the exercise in a transparent manner as well as be free and fair in the conduct of the exercise.
