Police swoop on Bobrisky’s birthday party, arrest five men dressed as women

FIVE cross dressers were, on Saturday, arrested as policemen swooped on the Admiralty Way venue of the birthday party of popular cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, popular known as Bobrisky.

Police confirmed visiting the venue of the party acting on intelligence report.

In a video which went viral on Saturday, people were seen running in different directions as policemen came to the venue of the birthday. Some of the men who wore female dresses attempted to resist police arrest but five of them were, however, arrested.

Uncertainty, however, surrounded the whereabouts of Borbrisky as he was not seen after arrests made by the police.

The image-maker in charge of the state police command, Bala Elkana, told Sunday Tribune that they sealed off the venue on credible intelligence.

“I have not been properly briefed on the operation, but I can confirm to you is that we have sealed off the venue. I don’t know yet if he (Bobrisky) or not,”Elkana said.
