Police rescue kidnapped Chinese miner in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command, has rescued a kidnapped Chinese miner, Pan Yu and arrested four suspects in relation to the crime.

The state Commissioner of Police (CP), Lawal Shehu, who briefed journalists at the state police command said “the case was reported to the command on the 16th of May, about an ambush of a Chinese miner, his driver and police security, Corporal Emmanuel Solomon.

Shehu explained that the hoodlums shot sporadically, killing the corporal on the spot, took away his rifle and abducted the Chinese miner who is 32 years.

“After hearing the information, a joint operation, comprising of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), and Police Mobile Force(PMF) personnel was formed to rescue the kidnapped victim.

The CP revealed that the susupects escaped to Kogi State with their victim who was eventually released on May 23rd”. The CP further disclosed that the four suspects Adamu Suleiman, Husseni Aliyu, Samaila Akwashe and Kabiru Shuaibu who were arrested, confessed to the crime.
