Police rescue abducted corps member in Lagos

THE police in Lagos State have rescued corps member who was last weekend abducted by suspected kidnappers in Ilamija Nla village in Epe area of the state.

The leader of the gang that perpetrated the act was also arrested during the rescue operation.

The corps member, Onyiwara Faith, who is serving at ABC Farms, was on her way to attend the Community Development Service (CDS) of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) in Ilamija in Epe when she was abducted.

She was rescued by a combined team of policemen led by the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bala Elkana, while confirming the rescue of the corps member, said she had been handed over to the state coordinator of the NYSC.
