THE Sokoto State Police command has paraded not less than 12, suspected to be area boys and thugs disturbing the peace of the state for some time.
While parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Sokoto on Monday, the State police public relations officer (PPRO), in the State, ASP Sadiq Abubakar, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended on the 13th of March, 2019.
He further disclosed that the suspects were arrested at different locations within the city which includes, Gidan Igwai, Old garage, Central motor park, Gangare Gidan Dankure as well as manna area.
According to him, “Some of the dangerous items and recovers from them includes, 140 wraps of Indian hemp, 549 pieces of exol as well as six sachets of Diazepam,” he stated.

He gave the names of the suspects as, Yusuf Umar, Suleiman Saidu, Usamatu Kabiru, Aminu Isah aka Dangote, Babangida Ibrahim and Abubakar Muazu.
Others are, Abubakar Shehu, Aliyu Bello, Yunusa Abdullahi, Bello Isah, Mujitaba Ahmad as well as Nura Abubakar.
Meanwhile, the police spokesman has called on everyone to try to cause a problem especially during the period of electioneering process to stay clear, saying the police is ready to maintain law and order in the State.
Speaking with Journalists at the police headquarters, one of the suspects, Aminu Isah ( Dangote), admitted that the police actually caught him with the weapons as well as Indian hemp.
Also speaking, Abubakar Shehu, also admitted that he was arrested with some wrap of Indian hemp.
According to him, “I make use of the Indian hemp, and once I take it, it gives me the inspiration to discharge my work perfectly.
“I work in a bakery, once I take a wrap of the Indian hemp, I will be very strong and ready to work for long hours,” he explained.
