In a statement issued on Wednesday in Owerri, the Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Henry Okoye, stated that the arrest is part of the Imo State Police Command’s continued efforts to curb criminal activities in the state.

Okoye further stated that during questioning, Patrick claimed his uncle, Osunta Oko, had asked him to acquire a human skull. He alleged that he found it along a riverbank on the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway, an area where the command has previously received reports of kidnappings.

The police spokesman added that the command is actively pursuing Osunta Oko and other possible accomplices in connection with this disturbing incident. He also noted that a DNA analysis is underway to determine the identity of the skull’s owner.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has reassured the public of the command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents.

He emphasized that justice will be served and that the suspects will face prosecution upon the completion of the investigation.

The three suspects arrested with the human skull were paraded at the Imo State Police Command, Owerri.
