Tragedy struck in Abuja on Saturday as a police inspector shot his colleague dead, injured another officer after which he shot himself dead.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at the Dutse Police Divisional Headquarters in the suburb of Abuja around 4.30 a.m.

According to sources, the remains of the officers have been deposited at the   General Hospital mortuary in Kubwa while the injured officer was taken to an unknown  hospital for treatment.

Confirming the incident in a statement, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command, ASP Marian Yusuf, said  the Commissioner of Police, Mr Bala Ciroma, had ordered investigation into the  incident.
