TWO hundred and thirty-seven constables, who have successfully completed their training at Police Training School, Benin City, have been deployed to their local governments of origin in Delta State.
Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr Zanna Ibrahim, disclosed that it was necessary the constables were posted to their local governments of origin in the spirit of community policing.
CP Ibrahim, who received the fresh police constables at the Delta Police Command headquarters in Asaba on Friday, admonished them to acquaint themselves with the laws of the land and operate within the provisions of such laws.
The CP advised the new officers to be disciplined, respect the citizens’ right, eschew corruption and be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force at all times.
Most of the constables, who expressed joy at the formal meeting with the CP to journalists, pledged to uphold the laws of the land.
