Police arrest two tenants for alleged robbery in Onitsha

THE Police patrol team attached to Awada Division of the Nigeria Police has arrested two tenants of number four Sheba street, Fegge Onitsha, Awoke Samuel and Timothy Peter, in connection with a robbery incident along Central Park, Onitsha.

The twenty-year-old Samuel, and Timothy, aged nineteen were suspected of attacking and robbing a man of his One Hundred thousand Naira cash, a Mobile phone and other valuables along Central Park Onitsha.

According to a release by the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed, the Suspects also specialise in trailing their victims using unregistered Keke NAPEP tricycle which was also recovered by the Police. Mr Haruna said the case is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

In another development, the Police Patrol team attached to Oyi Division while on patrol along Umunya road has recovered a golden coloured Toyota Corolla LE car with Reg No GDD 906 NL.

The Vehicle was abandoned along Enugu/Onitsha Expressway by Umunya, Anambra State.

The Command is imploring the general Public whose vehicles were either stolen or snatched and has matched the above to report to the command headquarter Awka, with sufficient proof of ownership in order to claim the vehicles
