Kogi State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers with locally made pistols.
State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Superintendent of Police, SP. William Aya in a statement said the arrest was made by operatives of the Ayingba Division, while enforcing the Inspector General of Police directive on third party insurance on motorists along Harbour Bay-Egume Road.
According to the statement the two young men identified as Mohammed Chelim and Oneh Mohammed with a motorcycle on stop and search mission.
Commending the Officers for their vigilance and commitment to duty, the Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, reassured the people of the State that the Command remains resolute in collaborating with other security agencies to rid the State of criminal elements.
The statement further urged residents to continue supporting security efforts by providing credible information on criminal activities.
