Borno State Police Command has arrested a young man, Sukiyal Adamu, for allegedly killing his grandfather with a hoe in Kwaya-kusar LGA.
The incident occurred on July 7, 2024.
ASP Kenneth Daso paraded the suspect in Maiduguri on Thursday and stated that the suspect will be charged to court after investigation.
In a separate incident, a woman was also paraded for killing her husband in Chibok town after a misunderstanding.
She confessed to the crime, citing her inability to control her emotions after her husband beat her child.

Also, the command paraded nine other suspects for various offenses, including culpable homicide, vandalism, theft of public infrastructure, criminal intimidation, and drug-related offenses.
Exhibits recovered include a hoe, an axe, drugs, and stolen property.
ASP Daso warned criminals to desist from their nefarious acts or face the wrath of the law, reiterating the command’s commitment to ensuring safety and security in Borno State.
