Police arrest 65-year-old man for allegedly defiling 2 minors

A 65-year-old man, Alosuposo Louis, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of two minors aged eight and 10 years.

Disclosing this to Metro in press statement, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the suspect was arrested following a complaint from the mother of one of the victims who reported at Ayetoro Division.

The PPRO stated further that the complainant, who said that she noticed some awkwardness being exhibited by her daughter, discovered that her daughter was defiled after she interrogated the girl.

“As a result of this report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ayetoro Division, CSP Makinde Kayode, led a team of policemen to arrest the suspect.

“Further investigation later revealed that the suspect also had carnal knowledge of another minor aged eight.

“We learnt that the two victims were lured into his apartment where he carried out the dastardly act. He has confessed to the commission of the crime, and the two victims have been taken to General Hospital, Ayetoro for medical examination and treatment,” the PPRO said futher.

Metro learnt that the command also arrested three teenagers, said to be students of a secondary school in Iperu Remo, for allegedly raping a female student of the same school.

According to the Oyeyemi, the arrest followed a report by the victim’s father, one Mr. Salau, who was said to have reported to the police that the suspects dragged his daughter into the bush where they forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

He gave the suspects’ names as Uloko Austin, Adekunle Quadri and Orenuga Aliu, saying that investigations revealed that they belonged to a cult known as Ajagbe Youngest Nation.

The PPRO said that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu had ordered the immediate transfer of the two cases to Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.
