Police arrest 50-year-old Chief for allegedly raping 14-year-old girl In Delta

The police in Delta state have arrested a 50-year-old community Chief and husband of four wives for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl at Ebedei Ukwuole, in the Ukwuani local government area of the state.

Detectives from Umutu police station had swooped on the alleged rapist (name withheld) after earlier assaulting the Junior Secondary School class one student (name withheld) twice.

Sources stated the secret came out when the victim opened up to her mother who noticed the daughter was bleeding excessively.

Investigation revealed that the Chief, a father of several children, allegedly gave the girl N50.00 before luring her to an uncompleted building.

Tribune Online gathered that the man had allegedly slept with her twice even as this time he threatened to kill her if she discloses his illicit relationship with her.

“The time, he raped her, he did it in an uncompleted building.

“The third attempt was what exposed him after he allegedly forced her to take drugs unknown to her”, a source revealed.

Contacted the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright confirmed the incident.
