Police arrest 35-year-old man for allegedly raping siblings in Delta

Police in Asaba, Delta State capital have arrested a 35-year-old man for raping two sisters of the same mother.

The suspect, Mr. Jude Nduka of No. 10 Obi Onuwe Street behind Kowen Plaza Asaba was alleged to have raped and impregnated a 16-year-old as well as raping and defiling another of 13 years, both daughters of a woman (name withheld)

A statement by the state police public relations officer, DSP Bright Edafe on Saturday said upon a complaint from the woman of Okpanam road in Delta State capital, detectives arrested the suspect who confessed to the crimes.

The statement added that medical examination on the said victims has been carried out while the suspect will be charged to court on completion of the investigation.

Meanwhile, operatives attached to Agbarho Police station in a combined effort with Agbarho vigilante task Force have arrested one Solomon Adama, 25 years old of Maternity road Agbarho in Ughelli North council area of the state.

When a search was conducted on him, one locally-made pistol and one live cartridge were recovered from the suspect.

The police image maker said the suspect also confessed to being a member of the Eiye confraternity.

“On further interrogation, the suspect further stated that the gun was given to him by one Gregory Orhokpocha ‘m’ 37yrs of Oguname street Agbarho, the leader of Eiye confraternity in Agbarho, the suspect Gregory was swiftly arrested.

“Suspects have been transferred to State criminal investigation department for further investigation,” the statement explained.
