The Kano State Police Command, has nabbed one James Ismail for allegedly committing culpable homicide resulted to the death of one person at Fas Agro Sacks Company Sharada in Gwale Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Hussaini Gumel, who disclosed this on Sunday, said that the crime was committed at a factory in Sharada.
According to him, “At about 8:30am hours a distress call was received that there is a problem at Fas Agro Sacks Company.”
The CP added that following receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer from Sharada led a team to the scene and discovered it was a fighting between two staff of the company; Tukur Adamu 32 years old and James Ismail 32 years.
In the fight that engulfed between them, the Police said Tukur Adamu fell down and was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
“The incident caused an uproar in the company and indeed the entire residents, and our officers worked tirelessly to identify and got the assailant; James Ismail arrested.
“As a result of the incident, thugs mobilized in large numbers, took advantage of the situation started looting people’s properties and attempted to set the company ablaze.
“We have as far arrested 13 thugs during the incident.
“This arrest is a testament to our unwavering commitment to protecting the sanctity of life and bringing justice to those affected by such heinous acts,” he said.
He added that the suspect would be thoroughly investigated and charged to court, assuring that justice would prevail.
