THE police on Wednesday arraigned a trader, Kayode Adeoye, in an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court for illegally parking his car in his neighbour’s space.
Adeoye, 37, is charged with an act likely to cause a breach of peace.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Mariam Dauda told the court that the defendant committed the offence on July 2, at Progressive Estate, Desalu St., Apapa Road, Ebute Meta.

She alleged that the defendant parked his vehicle in the parking space of his neighbour, Alhaja Nurat Akinyele and refused to move it when asked to do so.
The offence, she said, contravened the provisions of Section 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mrs Monisola Ayinde, in her ruling after hearing from both parties said: “parties have discussed and narrated their sides and have apologised to each other. We should all learn to be tolerant.
“We all want a better Nigeria, but we should remember it starts from you and me, using the three magic words I’m sorry, thank you and please would go a long way and would make the world and future better.
“Parties should not breed enmity but a peaceable environment, the defendant is hereby discharged as applicable,” she said.
