Poachers arrested for killing antelope in Yankari Game Reserve

Two men, Halilu Adamu and Bala Garba were caught by rangers over the weekend at the Yankari National Park, a large wildlife park located in Bauchi State.

According to the management of the Reserve, they killed and slaughtered a female roan antelope and are notorious elephant poachers. Garba was said to have been arrested in May 2015 for a similar crime and was sentenced to six months in jail, but he, however, returned back to the reserve this year to continue the illegal killing.
