In a meeting held at Medina Estate, Gbagada, Lagos, PMAN President, Pretty Okafor, assured the project manager, Soji Onojobi, of support, just as Pretty promised to bring his goodwill to bear on the eventual success of the biggest musical carnival on any Nigerian campus.

Okafor, who featured at two consecutive editions of Havana in the 90s, said: “the atmosphere was the attraction for us as young artistes then. I have passionate memories of Havana and will do all I can to help reposition Havana as the biggest musical event among youths in Nigeria,” he stated in a press release to R.

Shadare, who is optimistic of resurrecting Havana, on his part said: “Sigma Club has continued to be relevant. We will harness the strength of the club’s past and present individuals who are well positioned in the country, just as we will leverage on the 15 million members of the creative association, PMAN, and Nigerian youths, majority of whom are in higher institutions in the country. This is massive,” he told R.

Onojobi expressed his gratitude to PMAN, its executive members, Sigma club, Sigma Foundation and Inspiro for their continuous interest in getting Havana back after a brief staging in 2010 and 2011.

“We have never given up on resurrecting Havana because we believe it should not be allowed to go under. With the support of all, including corporate organisations, things can only get better,” he said.
