The Judge, Mr Abdulkadri Ibrahim, who handed down the verdict, noted that the marriage had broken down irretrievably.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the husband had approached the court, seeking the dissolution of the union on the grounds of defiance and waywardness on the part of the wife.
Ibrahin stated that after efforts made by the court to reconcile the couple had failed, the court had no option than to separate them.
Earlier, the petitioner, Salati had told the court that he was no longer interested in the marriage contracted in 2011 which had produced two children.
“I will not allow this woman to infect me with sexual transmitted diseases because of her wayward and loose lifestyle.
“Your honour, I want an end to this marriage because I cannot continue to hurt myself over a woman who can open her legs to, any man,” he said.
Afusat, however, denied the allegation of waywardness, saying “God knows best.”
She, however, consented to the dissolution of the marriage.
