A popular supermarket chain in the United Kingdom, Tesco, has issued an urgent recall of its party snack, Tesco 8 Chicken Tsukune Skewers, due to a misprint on the Use by Date label that could pose a health risk.
The supermarket has warned customers not to consume the affected product and has assured full refunds for any returns.
The recall applies to 280g packs of the skewers with a Use by Date marked as December 23, 2024. Tesco clarified that the correct ‘Use by Date’ should have been December 10, 2024. This labelling error could result in customers consuming the product past its intended shelf life, which may lead to health issues.

In a statement addressing the recall, the company said, “If you’ve bought an affected product with batch code 241025, please don’t eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given.”
Shoppers are advised to check their purchases immediately to ensure they do not consume the incorrectly labelled batch.
