Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Plateau State has stated the commission is set for Saturday presidential and National Assembly elections saying both sensitive and non-sensitive materials for the rescheduled election have been received.
Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State Mallam Hussaini Pai who disclosed this on Tuesday while addressing Stakeholders, Party representatives and Civil society groups at the complex of the Central Bank of Nigeria in Jos, Plateau State said the materials will be distributed accordingly at the right time to avoid any delay on election day.
Pai who was in accompany of the Plateau State Commissioner of Police Mr Isaac Akinmoyede said the sensitive and non-sensitive materials that were not completed have now been received by the commission from the Headquarters.
“Today we are here for the remaining batch of sensitive materials that have not been received in the State, the sensitive materials was not completed, but now the materials are completed. I want to assure the people of Plateau State that INEC will continue to be transparent in all the process of the elections” he said.

Meanwhile, Plateau State Police Commissioner Mr Isaac Akinmoyede also assured that the Police will provide adequate security for movement of both sensitive and non-sensitive from the Central Bank of Nigeria to the 17 local government areas of the state.
Akinmoyede said proper security arrangements have been put in place by the command to ensure that Saturday election is free, fair and credible in the state adding that men of his command have cordoned off the Central Bank of Nigeria Area in the state to ensure proper security for the sensitive materials.
