Planned protest, foreign conspiracy against Tinubu — CONYL

The Coalition of Nigerian Youths Leaders (CONYL), the umbrella body of all the youth groups drawn across the six geopolitical zones has described the planned nationwide protest as a foreign conspiracy against President Bola Tinubu’s government.

The group said that their discovery is based on their careful investigation of those behind the planned protest who are using a few gullible Nigerian youths as pawns in the game.

In a statement jointly issued on Tuesday by the President General of CONYL, Comrade Goodluck Ibem and the Publicity Secretary Junaid Abubakar, they described it as very unfortunate that some Nigerian youths rather than join hands in the building and development of their country will allow themselves to be used to destroy the hard-earned work and legacies of our founding fathers.

The youth body called on the Federal Government to close all land borders and fortify the airports with adequate security against foreign mercenaries from entering the country to cause havoc and unrest.

CONYL urged the President to have an audience with the youth leaders across the country to discuss issues of great concern and importance and how to make things right for the good of the nation.

They assured the President that a serious mobilisation of patriotic and dedicated Nigerian youths who believe in the unity, growth and development of the country as one united entity has been made to stop these foreign invaders and mercenaries from using some gullible youths to destroy our nation under the guise of protest.
