He stated this while speaking with TribuneChurch, shortly after the thanksgiving service and 7th Annual Diocesan Harvest at St. Stephen’s Cathedral of Redemption, Amachara, Umuopara Umuahia in Abia State.
He urged Christians to desist from casting their hopes on humans, but to look to God to provide solutions to their problems.
Speaking on the theme of the 2017 harvest tagged Harvest of Abundance in Time of Recession, Bishop Taiwo, in his message to the nation, called on Nigerians to promote peace, unity and love for one another, saying this would enhance rapid transformation.
Secretary of the conference, Mr Smart Nzenwa, described this year’s harvest as unique and thanked God for the leadership of Dr Taiwo, whom he said had brought innovation to the diocese.
He lamented that youths nowadays no longer showed commitment to godly activities, and urged them to draw closer to God.
In separate remarks, Chairman/Chief Harvester, Sir Chief Acho Onukaogu, and the Diocesan Public Relations Officer (PRO), Elder High Chief Azubuine Oliver James, thanked members for their commitment towards a successful hosting, describing the harvest period as one of reaping after sowing.
