The Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, was in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, on Wednesday, to officially launch the Federal Government’s Trader Moni at the popular Bodija and Oje markets.

TraderMoni is a Federal Government initiative designed to offer soft loan to traders under the Nigerian Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) scheme, as a way of empowering and boosting the informal sector of the economy.

The TraderMoni is a collateral-free loan ranging from N10,000 to N50,000, depending on how well the borrowers are able to make repayments.
