PHOTOS: Adeboye visits Trinity Towers, renames RCCG Apapa family to ‘Favoured family’

 

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has renamed the RCCG Apapa Family to “The Favoured Family” during a visit to Trinity Towers, the home of the RCCG City of David parish.

The visit, which marked the second time Pastor Adeboye and his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, were at the iconic facility, was marked by a divine instruction to rename the well-known family within the RCCG structure.

While preaching from 2 Kings 2:19-24, Pastor Adeboye stated that the Apapa Family needed a fresh outpouring of grace, symbolized by the introduction of salt and a new cruse.

According to him, the salt represents God bringing back taste and seasoning, removing bitterness, keeping away demonic influences, and ushering in rapid progress.

“God has instructed that this family be renamed to ‘The Favoured Family.’ It is a new chapter, a fresh direction, and a renewed purpose,” Pastor Adeboye declared.

Adeboye explained that just as Elisha used salt to heal the waters of Jericho, God would bring divine intervention to the family, leading to unprecedented favor and blessings.

“The Lord said the Apapa Family needs a new beginning. The salt signifies the restoration of flavor, healing, and divine favor. It is time to move forward without hindrance,” he said

The congregation erupted in joy and thanksgiving as Pastor Adeboye proclaimed the new name, emphasizing that the renaming signifies God’s favor resting upon the family.

Also speaking during the service, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye expressed gratitude to God for the divine revelation and urged members of the newly named Favoured Family to embrace the fresh direction with faith and commitment.

Trinity Towers, the ultra-modern edifice that houses the City of David parish, served as the perfect backdrop for the significant moment, with members celebrating the prophetic declaration and divine instruction.
