PFN sympathises with victims of airstrike error

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has sympathised with the victims of the recent airstrike error in Borno State, describing it as a mistake from our armed forces.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, the President, PFN, Reverend (Dr) Felix Omobude, also added that the organisation felt the pains of the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery for the injured.

He also asked people to show understanding.

Speaking on the crisis in southern Kaduna, Omobude, noted that the PFN was worried about the situation.

“PFN is worried that these killings have continued and we do know that it is the primary responsibility of every government to secure the lives of the people but these killings have been allowed to continue. They say they are criminals; it is the duty of our law enforcement agency to bring the criminals to book,” he said.

He questioned the proliferation of arms, which were used to perpetrate violence, stating that the appropriate authorities had not acted as swiftly as expected.

He called on the government to do everything humanly possible to ensure peace in southern Kaduna and warned those who were funding disunity to desist because they would not be able to stand when the chips were down.

He  called on political office holders to be alive to their responsibilities and admonished Nigerians to learn to ask appropriate questions so that the society can be enabling for all and sundry.

He lamented the non-participation of many pentecostal churches in PFN and called for support for the body.
