Peter Obi pays condolence visit to Gov Namadi over mother, son’s death

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi paid a condolence visit to the Jigawa state governor, Malam Umar Namadi in Dutse government house.

Condoling the governor Malam Umar Namadi over the death of his mother Hajiya Maryam Namadi and son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi said “This is my second visit to you and the state on unfortunate incidents in the year.

“We are here to commiserate with you, the government and the people of Jigawa state over the death of your mother and son. We know what it means to lose one person. When it’s happened and the way it’s happened we can only say may God Almighty Who please call them home forgive all their sins and grant them eternal rest.

“It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you on the immeasurable loss of your beloved mother and son. In this trial period, we are extending our condolences to you, your family and all the people of Jigawa, we pray to God Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest.

“The untimely passing of your son in his prime is an equally devastating blow. No parent should ever have to face such a heart-wrenching loss. His dreams and potential will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, even as we mourn the loss of such a bright and promising future.

“In this time of mourning May you have the strength to endure this unimaginable pain. May God Almighty provide you with the fortitude to bear this loss and shower you with His infinite mercy and comfort.”

In his response, Governor Namadi expressed gratitude to Obi for the visit despite his tight schedule.

Namadi explained “Like you said this is the second time to come to the state to condole us on different issues. This is a sign of love and friendship, your love for Jigawa state has manifested.

“On behalf of myself, my family, the Jigawa state government and the entire people of the state thank you for the love, concern and compaction. We are indepth on your show of love, care and concern.”
