As he arrived for the local government rally, Omisore, accompanied by the party leaders, was received by a mammoth crowd who commended his goodwill towards the people in the local governments, as they sang different songs in his praises, and unanimously promised to deliver their votes for SDP.
Omisore responding, applauded the people for their support, also expressing his appreciation to the traditional rulers, religious leaders and other community leaders in the local government area, while he promised to deliver on his campaign promises of developing the state and create gainful employment for youths and other categories of people in the state.
Omisore, a former deputy governor in the state, addressing the people, said, his government would as a matter of priority, settle the unpaid workers salaries, as his government would also institute a new financing scheme to support investments in the state, through which there would be opportunities for gainful employment in the state.

“The SDP will ensure a prudent management of resources and spendings, while innovative financing is required to bridge the massive budget deficit, which will target both public and private investments. The overarching aim is to reduce the huge debt to income generation ratio, benefit the public sector and expand internally generated revenue, which will also encourage private investors, especially small and medium scale industries,” Omisore said.
His innovative strategies, he said would reduce borrowing, and optimise the generation of additional development funds and improve the exploitation of all financial flows including private, philanthropic and organised community giving, with innovations which he said would further seek to combine investment instruments across diverse financial flows.
He also charged the people to monitor their votes and ensure they resist any form of malpractices which may hinder the electoral process, as according to him, “don’t allow people to buy your votes, put your thumb spring on the SDP slot on the ballot sheet. After voting, don’t just drop your ballot sheet and return home, make sure you stay around, monitor your votes until they are counted and the results announced,” Omisore said.
