Pencil comedian set for annual show ‘Pencil Unbroken’

Comedian, Ogechi Nwanevu Cyril, better known as Pencil has revealed that all is now set towards his yearly comedy show tagged ‘Pencil Unbroken’ billed to hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Saturday, November 6.

Tagged ‘Reality check’, Pencil revealed that the journey of mankind especially as a man was quiet complex, engaging and at a stage in life, some critical questions would be asked personally which would inspire the decisions one would make.

“All these, coupled with the twist of global events that occurred in 2020 with COVID-19 with introduction of a new lifestyle for all, online business explosion, virtual realities, artificial intelligence and more, has caused a paradigm shift and for people to bend to the new normal. These, among others, inspired a themed event of us checking on our life realities and putting things in check hence the theme ‘Reality check’.

Expected to excite guests with rib cracking jokes are ‘I go save’, Bash, Aproko, Mr Funny, Mop, Mr Marcaroni, Brain Jotter, Short Cut, MC Bob etc while there is will be music performances by Buju, Johnny Drille, Evih, DJ Khayslay amongst others.

It is important to note that Pencil has graced many concerts with his witty quips both in Nigeria and abroad. His style, which is simplistic and original, has earned him an enviable spot among the elite class of comics, he started his career over 13 years ago and got his breakthrough on the platform of AY’s open mic night organised by famous comedian, AY with many performances both in and out of the country and several awards to his credit.
