Speaking in a news conference in Kaduna, the president of the group, Comrade Ibeh Ikenna, remarked that, the unity and oneness of Nigeria as a country should be the watchword of all Nigerians, irrespective of their diversity.
Ikenna said that the unity of Nigeria as the most populous Africa country, should be placed above selfish interest of an individual or group.
Ibeh, while speaking, called on the agitators to desist from such a call, saying that their call did not represent the voice of the downtrodden people of the South East people.
“My investigation across board shows that 60 per cent of the Igbos are not in support of the agitation for Biafran State.
“The struggle for the liberation of the Igbo is capable of further polariging the country along ethnic nationalities,” he warned.
