PDP spreading lies on MKO Abiola Airport’s concession —Osun APC

THE All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun State chapter, on Sunday, advised indigenes and residents in the state not to be hoodwinked by what they termed alleged deliberate lies and misinformation being deployed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rubbish the MKO Abiola airport concessioned few weeks ago.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the director of publicity, research and strategy of the party, Kunle Oyatomi.

The party maintained that “we are raising awareness that so much lies, generated by PDP, and regularly circulated in the traditional, social and fake news media outlets, have done serious damage to people’s perception that some are now looking at a beauty and calling it ugliness.”

It will be recalled that the chairman, publicity arm of the caretaker committee of the PDP in Osun State, Honourable Bamidele Salam, had reportedly described as outrageous and suspicious the concessional arrangement undertaken by Governor Rauf Aregbesola-led administration on the completion of MKO Abiola cargo airport located in Ido-Osun.

Though the initial cost of the project was N4.5 billion, it was upwardly reviewed to over N11 billion due to economic realities and later the completion was concessioned to a private aviation firm, AWOL International, at the cost of N65 billion.
