The remaining gubernatorial aspirants left in the race include Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, former Secretary to Osun State Government (SSG), Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Chief Nathaniel Oke (SAN) and Senator Ademola Adeleke, currently representing Osun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
At the venue of the primary exercise located beside GMT Hotels in Osogbo, the aspirants, who stepped down their ambition include former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Adejare Bello, Professor Adeolu Durotoye, Engineer Jide Adeniji, Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi, Ayoade Adewopo, Lere Oyewumi and Felix Ogunwale.
Tribune Online authoritatively gathered that the resolve of the aspirants to withdraw from the race was informed by appeals from major stakeholders and leaders of the party, with a view to enhancing the victory of the PDP at the poll.
