PDP: Delta youth leader pledges youth mobilisation for future elections

The newly elected State Youth leader of the People’s Democratic Party in Delta state, Barrister Francis Okolie, has pledged to galvanise the formidable population of youths in the state to the greatest electoral fortunes of the party in future elections.

According to him, issues affecting youths in the state would be brought to the front burner in the scheme of things as they would be effectively mobilised in supporting government policies and programmes.

Barrister Okolie who gave the assurance at a reception in his honour at the end of the state congress held weekend in Asaba, said the party would leverage on the potentials of youths in promoting the laudable ideals of the party.

“The party will engage youths intellectually with a view to eliciting their views and opinions on how best to make the party a more youth-friendly party that would be the darling of all Nigerians and Deltans in particular. ”

Barrister Okolie commended the teaming PDP faithful and party leaders as well as delegates for finding him and other elected state executive officers of the party worthy to serve in various capacities.

He promised to serve diligently to justify the confidence reposed in him, adding that the present leadership of the party in Delta state would perform to the admiration of all.

He sued for the support and cooperation of the rank and file of PDP members to enable him to succeed in meeting the demands of his new office as the Delta State PDP youth leader.

A thoroughbred politician and loyal party man, Barrister Francis Okolie is the former chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association ( NBA) Ogwashi-Uku branch as well as the National Legal Advisor, Ogwashi-Uku Development Association.
