The National Convention of the party had last week ratified the dissolution and approved Caretaker Committees for the affected seven states.
The affected states are: Adamawa, Anambra, Ogun, Osun, Lagos, Kwara and Kebbi respectively.
This was contained in a letter written to the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee, NCC, of the Party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, dated August 13th this year and made available to Tribune Online in Abuja yesterday
In the letter Copied the National Secretary of the NCC, Senator Ben Obi, Isiaka commended the leadership of the Party and the Convention of the Party over the decision, saying this would go a long way in reposing it ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Isiaka who decried the protracted legal tussle over party structures between warring factions in the state chapters especially in Ogun, pointed out that this had made it impossible for the party to record electoral victories in the last two general elections.
According to him, “Whereas there are court cases that have been instituted due to the acrimony and battle for control, the ideal thing is to have political solutions that consider the interest of everyone in order to foster unity
“Notwithstanding such existing cases, the decision of the National Convention to dissolve the competing executives is a fair starting point and also proposes a route out of the impending conundrum”
The endorsement of the dissolution of the Bayo Dayo led State Executive Committee of the Party in Ogun State came just as another Party Chieftain in the State, Senator Buruji Kashamu has vowed to challenge the decision of the PDP National Convention up to the Supreme Court.
The Bayo Dayo led state executive had earlier rejected the decision of the highest decision-making organ of the party stating that it was in posession of a court injunction which restrained the Party from dissolving the Ogun State state Exco.
