PDP constitutes more than 50% in Presidency, law enforcement agencies ―Buhari’s Aide

THE Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Ms Lauretta Onochie on Tuesday said the Presidency comprises of over 50 percent of People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) members.

She also said the PDP which is the major opposition party, controls more than 50 percent of the members of law enforcement agencies and the National Assembly.

Ms Onochie disclosed this at the Second International Conference of the Progressive Solidarity Forum in Abuja.

The Presidential Aide further said the opposition members in this administration had turned many youths as their foot soldiers who attack the government on the social media.

Her words in parts: “That brings me to those in this government who are here to serve themselves, colonel Hameed Ali, the CG customs called PDP, they said that there is about 50 percent of them in this government but I say no they are more than 50 percent.

“They are everywhere; they are in the presidency, they are in the national assembly, you can find them in the judiciary, they are in the law enforcement agencies, they serve their personal interests, they encourage our unsuspecting youths to be their foot soldiers on the social media to abuse and curse people while their own children are sipping tea in America, in England or elsewhere.

“They are a bad example to our youngsters on social media. Our youth population is in need of good role models; they were born into corruption, my generation that grew up in a better Nigeria acquire a taste for luxurious and ostentatious groups, houses, cars, primitive accumulation of cash and I mean stolen cash.

“They mentor a youth population that mirrors them. These youths look up to these people that have constantly taken things that do not belong to them.

She, however, called on Nigerians to join President Muhammadu Buhari in the fight against corruption, adding that corruption is everywhere.

“President Buhari alone cannot just wake up knocking on our doors telling us what or what not to do. We need to say no to corruption, indiscipline.

“Corruption is everywhere so all of us must come together and join hands with this president so that we can kill corruption before corruption kills our nation.”
