PDP Chieftain, Abidikugu felicitates Oba Owolabi Olakulehin’s ascension as Olubadan

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Oyo State, Dr Kazeem Abidikugu, has congratulated the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan.

In a message issued on Friday, Abidikugu rejoices with Oba Olakulehin on his coronation and presentation of staff of office by the Governor of Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde.

Abidikugu, who was a PDP House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan South East/ North East Federal Constituency in the build-up to the 2023 general election expresses his conviction that Oba Olakulehin is fitted for the Olubadan throne at this point in time.

“I have the assurance that the new Olubadan, Oba Olakulehin will sustain the tempo of growth and development in Ibadanland”, Abidikugu said in the statement.

He applauded Governor Makinde for his interest and support for the growth of culture and tradition of Ibadanland.

He said:”I commended our governor, MrSeyi Makinde for his unalloyed respect for traditional institutions which made him to take a rightful step in the installation of the New Olubadan.

“Let me assure Governor Makinde that this decision has drawn more support from the people of Ibadanland to him as a person and the office that he currently occupies”.

Abidikugu who is a Nigerian United Kingdom-based psychiatric consultant also congratulated the people of Ibadanland land on the successful installation of the 43rd Olubadan, saying the tenure of Oba Olakulehin will bring peace and development to Ibadanland.

He urged the people to maintain the usual peace which he said has made all residents of the state irrespective of their race to feel at home in the ancient city of Ibadan.
