Speaking to newsmen in Keffi during the Nasarawa PDP delegates primary election, senator Jibrin said PDP would not allow the mistake of past repeat itself, calling on voters to use their permanent voters cards wisely to vote APC out of power.
According to BOT chairman, “we must not allow APC remain in power beyond 2019”
He regreted the chances given to APC in the past and apologised to Nigerians for allowing them to suffer impunity from APC government.

Senator Jibrin who reiterated the readiness of the party to emerge victorious at the polls stressed that PDP would not tolerate any degree of rigging by APC to shortchange the mandate of the people.
He said, the kind of tsunami that would happen in 2019 general elections would be nothing to compared with the situation in 2015, saying that PDP would watch out and guard against manipulative tendencies in the coming election.
According to him, the tsunami that befall the country from the north, west, south and eastern parts of the country was responsible to why Buhari and most state governor’s came on board, which he said, such would be replicated in next year general elections.
While describing as unfortunate the 2015 situation, he said, ahead of the PDP National primary, the PDP National leadership, former PDP governor’s Forum, BOT, and lovers of the party are in talking terms, interacting with the aspirants to abide by the party’s guidelines and to reach a consensus, such that no one would be aggrieved in the end.
He particularly commended the five (5) PDP gubernatorial aspirants in the state for signing a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an assurance that none of them was going to leave the party after the exercise.
He said, according to them, they have pledged to protect the interest of the party, restore it integrity and to support whoever that emerged at the secondary election.
Headed, with their assurances, he was confident that PDP was going to reclaim power from APC in the state.
Senator Jibrin then commended the leadership of the party in the state for given delegates freehand to choose whoever they want in the election without interference from any quarter.
He therefore attributed the peaceful conduct of the primary election to the maturity and orderly conduct of delegates, aspirants and their supporters and prayed them to sustain the tempo.
