PDP aspirant promises to build on Dickson’s achievements

Dr Franklin Osaisai, a governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Bayelsa says he plans to build on the achievements recorded by Gov. Seriake Dickson if elected in Nov. 16 poll.

Osaisa disclosed this on Friday at the inauguration of his campaign office along Isaac Borroh expressway in Yenagoa.

He said his campaign would be violence-free, as he is driven by a passion for service.

Osaisa, who condemned acts of violence in politics, urged other aspirants to shun violence and desperation as power belongs to God.

He said that he would strive hard to complete ongoing projects initiated by the present administration especially the road linking coastal communities to the state capital.

Osaisai, a Nuclear Scientist noted that having committed his aspiration to God, there is no need to resort to other means to get power.

“I started the race with God when I declared my intention before God, today we are inaugurating this building by dedicating it to God, our campaign shall be issue-based and violence-free.

“We are focused on the party primaries and I am optimistic we shall be victorious because ours is a mission to serve and we have the competence to bring development and relief to the people.

“I am a rural person and each time I travel through the waterways from Yenagoa to Koluama where I come from, I spend over two and a half hours. The people deserve a safer and faster means of transport,” he said.

Osaisai, a former Director-General, Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, said his priorities would include addressing challenges of power supply in the state.

He said that he would also invest a substantial part of the state’s revenue on a non-oil source to ensure it survives when the oil reserves dry up.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that clergymen, associates and friends witnessed the event.
