Pay our pension, entitlement before your exit, pensioners tell Aregbesola

BARELY two months to the end of Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s government, pensioners in Osun, on Tuesday staged another round of protest to denounce what they termed insensitivity of the government to their plights.

They called on the state governor to pay them before his exit on November 10, 2018, saying it was incumbent to pay, with a view to ending their plights.

Addressing journalists during the commencement of the demonstration, the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Osun State chapter, Mr Ganiyu Olasunkanmi Salawu said they appealed to pay them without further delay.

The leader of 2011/2012, Forum of Pensioners in Osun, Alhaji Yemi Lawal, who also spoke to journalists lamented that they have lost no fewer than 2,501 members due to unpaid gratuities, pension allowance.
