Other awardees included, Caleb Oluwakayode as Best Student in Research Methodology; Dr and Dr (Mrs) M. A. Abisona, Dr and (Mrs) Ayodele Olopade, and Dr and Dr (Mrs) Joseph Makinwa were presented with Outstanding Couples’ Award; Dr Ebenezer Oladiran and Mrs Abas Margret Omobola were specially recognised.
Akinwande said: “I thank God for the success of the convocation. It is once in two years. The last we had was in 2016 and we have been planning and preparing for the success of this year’s event since last December, and we thank God this event has recorded huge success. By my assessment this is the best convocation in the history of this school. The first category of grandaunts is the Certified Pastoral Manager, a specialised professional programme in collaboration with Hapche in the United States.
Its focus is to raise professional Christians and 20 of them have graduated today. 11 Bachelor degree students from various disciplines and specializations and 17 Post-graduate students have also graduated.”
In his remarks, the Business Editor, Mr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, who represented the MD/EIC of Tribune, Mr Edward Dickson, to receive the award, commended the institution for the honour and recognition, adding, “We deeply express our appreciation to the institution. This is a well deserved honour and we thank the management of the institution for this development. This will actually spur us to do more and we promise to give our best in the media sector.”
