President, Centre for Change (CfC), Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, has reacted to the death of the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, describing the passing as a rude shock, but quickly noted that such “is the passage of great men.”
Okei-Odumakin said this in a statement titled: ‘Pastor Taiwo Odukoya: So long’, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Lagos, recalling that Pastor Odukoya, who died on Monday in the United States (US), aged 67, rose through huge losses and vicissitudes of life, to glory as an end time General and “led the flock towards the feet of Christ.”
According to her, only men with the confidence of the “true call” yield the resource of life to toil in the Vineyard, noting sadly that the passing of the popular Pentecostal cleric was surely “our terrestrial loss, but a great celestial gain” as she bidded the deceased “Goodnight, till resurrection.”
The statement read: “It is a rude shock, but so is the passage of great men. Only men with the confidence of the ‘true call’ yield the resource of life to toil in the Vineyard.
“Through huge losses and vicissitudes of life, he rose to glory as an end-time General …led the flock towards the feet of Christ.
“This surely is our terrestrial loss…but a great celestial gain. Goodnight, till the resurrection.”
