Pastor launches book on how ‘big mouth’ impacts ‘big future’

Author and lead pastor of Full Lighthouse Ministries, Dr Ralph Light Omotoso, has launched his book titled ‘Big Mouth, Big Future’.

During the book launch on Sunday in Ibadan, Omotoso noted in the preface of the nine-chapter book that the insights in the book breathed life and faith into his future, adding that no generation needs the book more than this current generation.

“There is no height that people cannot scale when their mouth speaks of what God speaks,” he stated. “Consequently, never conclude on how intelligent or nice a person is until they open their mouth.”

The book − which was dedicated to the founder and Apostolic Father of Faith Bible Church in Ibadan, Reverend Dr Olumayokun Olawoye, who recently turned 80 − was inspired by the author’s two decades of relationship with the couple Dr and Professor (Mrs) O. O. Olawoye.

While speaking about the book, Dr Olawoye appreciated the author for dedicating the book to him.

Tracing his mentorship relationship as a concept that led to the production of the book, Dr Olawoye stressed how it is necessary to learn from people with big mouths because those who keep the company of the wise will become wise, while those who keep the company of the fool will become foolish.

Professor (Mrs) Janice Olawoye in her remarks noted that the misuse of words and the mouth has been around since the beginning of time. She stressed that it is important that people know how to speak positively into their lives and in the lives of others.

Professor Chinyere Oluwasakin of the Obafemi Awolowo University, while reviewing the book, described it as a masterpiece that reflects the creative Word of God and how people should speak to bring only positive outcomes to their lives and destinies.

Oluwasakin stressed that there is tremendous power in the words people speak. She urged people to be conscious of what they say − and always say what is right − because words can inspire or demoralise, heal or hurt, and bless or curse.

She stated that the book teaches one to speak faith, and how to tame and train the mouth to speak the right thing, which means the future can be bright from people’s utterances.

“When you speak big, you will possess big. But when you speak small you will diminish,” she said.

Professor Oluwasakin stated that the book was written in a simple language, and that the principle and wisdom in it are doable. She recommended the book to the church and public, and to everyone who wants to make a positive impact in their lives and society beginning with their utterances.

Also at the book launch were Apostle Isaac Oluwanise, Reverend Jide Moteso, Bishop Michael Oladepo, Pastor Lanre Adeoti, Dr Soji Adetunji, and other dignitaries.
