Parents should encourage the girl child to be more productive – Joy Nwaogwugwu

Managing Director of Deluxe Interior, Joy Nwaogwugwu, had advised parents to encourage the girl child to be more productive in their chosen areas.

Nwaogwugwu, who spoke through her social media handle, said so much attention has been given to the male children on how to be productive.

She said, ”Our girls need to be charged to engage in meaningful endeavours, so as also to make financial gains in whatever field they choose to practice.

Some of our boys go to serve people for many years, and in the end, they get settled to become bosses of their own. But who will settle the girls?

I believe that women should be empowered to contribute to their families’ growth.

When a woman is empowered, it takes burdens away from her male counterparts, and the financial pressure becomes less on one person, Nwaogwugwu said.
