Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has disclosed that the deceased once told him it was time to go.
Obasanjo said Adebanjo’s decision came after asking him if there was anything he had not done, to which he replied, “Nothing.”
“Pa Adebanjo is my elder brother.
“The last time I visited Pa Adebanjo, I went inside his bedroom to discuss with him.
“He asked me, ‘Is there anything I have not done?’ and I said, ‘Nothing.’
“Pa Adebanjo then said it is time to go.”
In the condolence register, Obasanjo asked him to sleep well.
“Egbon Sunre” (Yoruba word, which means rest well or sleep well from your work and service to God and humanity),” he said.
