Oyo SWAN organises first Ramadan lecture

THE maiden edition of the Ramadan lecture of the Oyo State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) will be holding on Monday, 11 June, 2018, at the main hall of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

According to a statement signed by the chairman of the organising committee, Mr Lanre Agiri, and secretary, Mr Adewale Tijani, the lecture is being organised as part of efforts to enhance Oyo SWAN members’ professional qualities and strengthen their spirituality.

The topic of the lecture, which will be delivered by widely travelled, multilingual fitness expert, Alhaja Moromoke Ayinde, owner of Kayrom Lee fitness outfit in Ibadan, is “Sporting Activities during Ramadan: Facts and Myths,” the statement said.

The statement added that the President of the Nigeria Referees Association, Alhaji Tade Azeez and a former Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr Bolaji Ojo Oba, would grace the occasion as chairman and special guest of honour respectively.
