Oyo Rep, Olajide, to empower 1000 households

In continuation of his bid to alleviate poverty and improve the living standard of his constituents, Hon. Adedeji Olajide, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North West/ South West constituency, has announced plans to empower over one thousand households in his constituency through the Household Uplifting Programme (HUP).

Hon. Olajide, while announcing the initiative in a statement made available to newsmen by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, said the Household Uplifting Programme is designed to provide succour to poor and vulnerable households in his constituency.

According to him, the programme is designed to provide a safety net for the most vulnerable members of society, including widows, orphans, and persons with disabilities, while over one thousand households in Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of oyo state will receive monthly stipend as part of the Household Uplifting Programme.

While expressing his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Hon. Olajide said, “as a representative of the people, it is his duty to ensure that members of the constituency benefit from programmes designed to improve their lives.”

He said, the Household Uplifting Programme which is intended to help beneficiaries meet their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and healthcare is a vital initiative that will help alleviate poverty and improve the living standards of his people.”

Hon. Olajide urged his constituents to take advantage of the programme, describing it as a unique opportunity to access financial support and urged all eligible households to come forward and register for the programme.”

The empowerment programme is set to commence soon with registration and verification of beneficiaries in the constituency.
