Oyo Rep mourns ex-PDP leader, Santos

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo), a PDP chieftain and federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West federal constituency of Oyo State, has mourned the sudden passing of Alh. AbdulYekeen Ademola Santos, a prominent PDP leader in Oyo State and ex-officio member of the South West PDP, describing it as shocking and devastating.

The federal lawmaker, in a condolence message made available to the media on Saturday by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, said the demise of the late grassroots politician left a huge vacuum in the political landscape.

Odidiomo commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Alh. Taofeek Arapaja, South West PDP, state executive, and members of Oyo State PDP over this irreparable loss.

He described Alh. Santos as a devoted and selfless leader who dedicated his life to the service of humanity, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape of Oyo State, whose contributions to the development of the state and the PDP will be deeply missed.

Speaking further, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide eulogised Alh. Santos as a pillar of strength and a shining example of dedication and commitment to the PDP, whose demise serves as a reminder of the transience of life and the importance of cherishing the memories and legacies of our loved ones.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the deceased, praying that Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest and comfort those he left behind.
