Oyo PDP Rep, Olajide, completes landmark educational projects

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, member representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has completed landmark educational projects across his federal constituency.

The project completion was described as in fulfilment of his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to constituents.

The projects include; a six-classroom block at Urban Day secondary school, Adeoyo, Ring Road, Ibadan and a three-classroom block at Special Basic School, within the premises of Adeoyo State Hospital, Ring Road Ibadan, which are among the latest constituency projects facilitated by the two-term PDP lawmaker.

The projects facilitated through the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), and office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs aimed to address overcrowding and ensure conducive learning environments for students.

Similarly, in fulfilment of his promises during the electioneering campaign, Hon. Olajide has also facilitated the establishment of an ICT hub at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar School, Eleyele, Ibadan.

Fully equipped with modern technology, the facility is designed to empower students with essential digital skills, preparing them for global opportunities in a tech-driven world.

Speaking during a pre-commissioning inspection of the projects, Hon. Olajide, represented by his Senior Legislative Assistant, Mr Kunle Folarin, described the initiatives as part of his broader strategy to uplift the educational standard in his constituency.

“These projects are investments in our future,” said Mr. Folarin.

“Hon. Olajide is focused on providing opportunities for students to excel in an environment conducive to learning and skill acquisition and this is just the beginning of more impactful developments to come.”

Meanwhile, residents of the benefitting communities who were part of the inspection tour, have expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, lauding the projects as a timely intervention.

Mrs Funmi Alade and Mr Tunde Adebayo, both parents residing in the areas lauded the initiative of the lawmaker for providing a suitable and conducive learning environment for the schools’ children.

“Our children now have a safe and spacious place to learn. This is a dream come true,” she remarked.

They said the ICT hub is a game-changer, which is not just about digital literacy; but also about creating opportunities.

“These students will now compete on a global scale,” they declared.
