In his acceptance speech, the chairman, Alhaji Adetunji, expressed appreciation to members for their confidence in his ability and called for their support in the task ahead.
Adetunji implored all Muslim lawyers to stand in defence of Islam against wars being waged against the religion.
He made particular reference to the campaign for the acceptance of hijab for female Muslims in the society.
According to him, all Muslim lawyers must throw their weight behind the campaign as it is a constitutional right of every Muslim lady to dress in accordance with the dictates of their faith.
